Breakfast menu vary according to country, region and personal choice. However Fruits, Eggs, Caffeine in either Tea or Coffee, Milk, Cereals and Bread…. top the list while on a global survey. Common reason being that all agree that Healthy Breakfast : First Meal of the day Should be Healthy and Refreshing!

Some people skip the breakfast in anticipation of reducing few calories and dieting regime. However it should be just opposite. You already fasted for almost 8–12 hours during sleep. Now after this time is over body needs some energy and refreshment to keep on working at the same pace throughout day.
So, first meal of the day that is your breakfast should be healthy and refreshing to keep your body energetic, awake and an active mind to deal with routine activities.
Choose and select your breakfast that is nutritious, tasty and provide maximum nutrition with minimum calories!

Traditional Breakfast for weekends
I am a big time foodie myself though keep high calorie, heavy traditional “Desi” breakfast for the leisure weekends. Here I am referring to “Puri Bhaji” (Flour deep fried bread and spicy vegetables mix — as potato, cauliflower, Carrot, Peas, Chilly, Coriander and spices).
“Aloo Parathas” (Flour breads filled with mashed Potato, finely chopped Green Chilly, Coriander and spices) with butter on top, plain yogurt and tomato chutney. And, of course…. Tea!
Aloo Paratha go well with Coriander Chutney, Pickles, Tomato Chutney , Plain or Sweet Yogurt and Lassi(Sweet Curd and Cream preparation) famous Brunch (Breakfast + Lunch) in North India.
Ideas for quick and healthy breakfast
One can be creative while selecting and preparing breakfast for self and loved ones. Here are some ideas for first morning meals:
- Breakfast cookies with milk/Tea /Coffee
- Homemade egg McMuffins with milk/Tea /Coffee
- Whole Wheat Bread sandwich (with Sausage, Bacon, Veggies)
- Muffins or scones and fruits
- Baked Oatmeal with fruits and/or dry fruits
- Pancakes with fruits (Strawberry and Banana)
- Baked Tomato-egg cups with solidified egg yolk and Toast

Three Types of Breakfast
There are three types of global breakfast options where ever you travel. These are as follows:
- Continental Breakfast (Cold foods as Variety of breads, as donuts, muffin, pastries, white and wheat bread, fresh fruits, hard boiled eggs and cereals. An Assortment of Tea Coffee and juices.)
- English Breakfast (Bacon, Sausage eggs either fried, poached or scrambled, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, Toast, Marmalade, Tea and Coffee)
- American Breakfast (Similar to continental also include hot food as Bacon, Sausage, Pancake, eggs , waffles)
No matter wherever you are and what are your food choices eat balanced and healthy morning food.
Always try to have breakfast with high protein, low carbohydrates and sugar diets to keep you energetic, full and active throughout day. You can have light mid day lunch and snacks with evening Tea.
